The best location for a portrait is one that feels connected to you. It could be the coastline, a familiar street, a simple studio, or a place you’ve always wanted to explore. The setting should support your personality, rather than compete with it.

Choose clothes you feel comfortable moving in. Think about texture, shape, and how the colours work with the location. A favourite piece that feels like you will always bring more to a photograph than an outfit you’re fighting to wear.

You don’t need to know how to pose. Leave room to walk, talk, and settle into the session. That small shift from performing to simply being is often where the portrait comes alive.
